Job Title:  Supply Chain Manager

Department:  Supply Chain

Report to: General Manager


Desired Outcomes:

  • Manage supply chain functions to deliver accurate, quality, cost-effective materials and supplies to internal and external customers on time and with minimum waste.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and develops supply chain methodologies based on "Best Practices" (Low Volume/High Mix Flexible Manufacturing, Measurable Goals and Objectives, visual controls, work place organization).
  • Develops annual business plan goals and objectives for supply chain targeted at overall company goals and objectives.
  • Plans, organizes, manages and controls procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving functions.
  • Establishes and maintains production schedules to achieve "on time delivery".
  • Establishes and provides appropriate instruction, guidance and training for staff in areas of responsibility.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts related to supply chain activities designed to address supplier deficiencies, internal process execution deficiencies, and customer complaints with goal of developing concrete corrective actions that address processes that allowed non-conformity.
  • Oversees selection, evaluation and control of suppliers with goal of managing supply chain with least amount of suppliers providing quality products, on time, at lowest overall cost.
  • Leads, manages and directs employees in supply chain department.
  • Completes other tasks as directed by General Manager.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Purchasing or a related field required
  • 8+ years' experience working in a manufacturing supply chain environment; 5+ years' supervising and/or managing supply chain activities
  • Supply chain, procurement and/or logistics certification preferred
  • Proficient Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient using ERP systems to manage supply, procurement, inventory and manufacturing schedules.
  • Internal drive to learn and continuously improve
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
